Front-drive versions of the 2027 Kia EV3 (the Light and FWD Wind and Land) carry a 201 hp, 209 lb-ft rating. A second motor for e-AWD lifts the Wind, Land and GT-Line to 261 hp and 284 lb-ft. The GT, with 288 hp and 345 lb-ft, also gets sport-tuned suspension and steering.

EPA-estimated range reaches 321 miles on Wind FWD and Land FWD models, 280 miles on every AWD version and 221 miles on the Light FWD, and Kia notes conditions, habits and temperature affect it. Available i-Pedal 3.0 handles one-pedal driving, even in reverse, though Kia calls it no substitute for safe driving.

Away from home, the 2027 Kia EV3's built-in NACS port opens access to more than 30,000 Superchargers, Kia says. Hooked to a 350 kW charger, an 81.4 kWh EV3 needs as little as 31 minutes to go from 10 to 80 percent by Kia's estimate, and the Light needs as little as 29.

Once you have an active Kia Connect subscription and Kia Charge Pass enrollment, Plug & Charge starts a session at participating stations when you plug in. While parked at a charger, available Entertainment and Data Services stream Netflix or YouTube, with a Kia Connect subscription and any required streaming accounts.

On the Light, Wind, Land and GT-Line, Highway Driving Assist helps the 2027 Kia EV3 hold a set gap and stay centered in its lane on certain federal highways; the GT gets Highway Driving Assist 2, which also assists with lane changes. Every trim has Smart Cruise Control 2 and Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control, which slows for highway curves.

Hands-On Detection in the steering wheel lets Lane Following Assist 2 tell whether your hands are on the wheel, and Kia's reminder is to always drive safely and use caution. Every EV3 comes with eight airbags and Safe Exit Warning, plus Blind-Spot and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and the Land and up get a 360° Surround View Monitor.

Aerodynamics on the 2027 Kia EV3 were improved for efficiency: an active air flap sits in the front bumper, a cover spans the full underbody, the wheels use aero designs and lightweight body materials see wider use. Kia quotes a drag coefficient (Cd) as low as 0.275.

Every trim wears LED projector headlights and High Beam Assist, plus a rear roof spoiler and hidden rear door handles. Land, GT-Line and GT owners also get a wide power sunroof overhead, full LED taillights out back and a Smart Power Liftgate that opens hands-free.

Kia added sound absorption throughout the 2027 Kia EV3's body, plus damping materials for quieter highway and around-town driving. Sound-absorbing glass is standard in the windshield and added to the front door windows from the Wind up, and Land, GT-Line, GT and Wind AWD models ride on tires with sound-absorbing foam.

Heated front seats come with the Wind, and so does 10-way power adjustment, power lumbar included, for the driver's seat. The Land adds driver memory and ventilated front seats, and the GT-Line and GT give the front passenger 10-way power adjustment. Rear seatbacks can recline up to 39 degrees, and rear passengers have console-mounted air vents.
